Total Madness Christmas Mash-up

In a parallel universe, while Madness stormed the Greenwich O2 Arena, a different kind of madness unfolded at Vinylly Friday, a skankin' celebration of vinyl grooves and festive cheer. The air was charged with a contagious energy, a mélange of ska beats and yuletide melodies that collided in a dance floor revolution.

As the night kicked off with Madness's "The Prince," the crowd was thrust into the infectious ska rhythms that set the tone for an evening of unbridled fun. The selection seamlessly flowed into Prince Buster's "One Step Beyond" and The Selecter's "Three Minute Hero," creating a pulsating atmosphere that even had Scrooge tapping his feet.

But Vinylly Friday wasn't just a throwback to ska's golden era. Amidst the timeless classics, unexpected gems emerged, like Jonathan Richman's "Egyptian Reggae," a stone-cold killer that had the crowd swaying to its eccentric charm. Meanwhile, Duran Duran's "All She Wants Is" proved a dance floor filler, eliciting enthusiastic moves from the revelers.

The DJ's daring choices didn't stop there, as Jessie Ware's "That! Feels Good!" sneaked into the mix—a truly unexpected thriller that added a contemporary twist to the nostalgic playlist. The crowd, expecting the expected, found themselves pleasantly surprised and thoroughly entertained.

The transition from ska anthems to contemporary hits, like Dua Lipa's "Dance The Night" and the hypnotic beats of CHVRCHES' "We Sink," showcased the DJ's versatility. It was a testament to the night's mantra: old and new, hand in hand, creating an unforgettable sonic journey.

As Vinylly Friday wrapped up with Mariah Carey's holiday classic, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," the eclectic mix of tunes left the crowd buzzing. In five words: Vinylly Friday – Eclectic, Electric, Unforgettable Dancefest!
